Hayden boys basketball defeats Vail Mountain, 53-41
Steamboat Springs — The Hayden High School boys basketball team picked up a 53-41 win Tuesday at Vail Mountain School.
The Tigers struggled early, trailing, 16-12, after one quarter. But Hayden started playing better, tying it at 22 at the half and leading, 36-33, going into the fourth.
“Offensively, we started slow,” Hayden coach Mike Lupus said. “Things turned, and we were able to eliminate some turnovers.”

Saturday’s home game also has a time change. The girls will play at 2 p.m. with the boys to follow at 3:30 p.m.
