Steamboat Springs If nothing else, Tuesday’s game between the Soroco and Hayden girls basketball teams should be an entertaining spectacle.
Hayden, the favorite coming into Tuesday, beat Soroco by 17 and 10 points in the teams’ two meetings earlier this year. The Rams, however, come into Tuesday’s game playing well. Soroco wrapped up its best regular season since 1999 and has proven it’s much more than guard Madison George. George, who averages just more than 16 points per game and is tough for anyone to handle. If she can get help from Lindsay Miles and Jacey Schlegel, there’s no doubt the Rams are capable of winning.
Hayden has leaned on its front court of Erin Koehler and Aubree Haskins. Koehler has been magnificent, averaging 21 points per game.
Tuesday very well could come down to which supporting cast better helps George and Kohler.
