Steamboat Springs For the third time this season, the cross-county rivals will meet on the basketball court. This time, however, it’s in the opening round of the district tournament.
Hayden beat Soroco 59-40 and 69-53 earlier this season.
The Tigers have been a much different team since junior guard Paul Laliberte became eligible to play after a transfer. The Tigers are 9-1 since the point guard entered the Hayden lineup.
Soroco, which has been up and down all year, will rely on forward Ryan Jeep and guard Nic Paxton. If the Rams can get their inside-out game going, Soroco should have a chance. If not, Hayden could roll into the second round.
