Oak Creek’s Dawn Smith will leave the Town Board

Oak Creek Town Board member Dawn Smith has submitted a letter of resignation stating her intent to step down from the Town Board. She was not in attendance at Thursday’s meeting. “I feel very blessed to live in a place where kindness and care are the norm and not the exception,” Smith wrote in her letter.

By resigning now then her Trustee seat will be filled in April's election instead of being appointed by the Town Board. So resigning is actually a responsible move if she questioned her ability to put in the time to serve out her term.
