Lincoln Avenue will be closed for Winter Carnival

Lincoln Avenue will be closed from Fifth to 11th streets Saturday for the Winter Carnival street events. Lincoln will reopen at about 12:30 p.m. after crews push the snow to the side of the street, according to the city. Workers will return at about 4 a.m. Sunday to do it all over again. Lincoln is scheduled to reopen at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Those who would like to participate in non-horse street events can register on the day of the event at the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association’s registration tent in downtown Steamboat.
Volunteers still are needed to help with the Winter Carnival street events Saturday and Sunday. Those interested should contact Maren at maren@steamboatchamber.com or 970-457-4529.
