Steamboat's Emily Hannah places 26th at the Scandinavian Cup

In the first 15-kilometer race of her life, Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club cross-country skier Emily Hannah finished 26th on Thursday in Madona, Latvia. She finished almost five minutes behind the eventual winner, Norway’s Martine Hagen.
Hannah, who was youngest racer in the field by more than two years, had to attack the course that climbed more than 600 feet in every 5-kilometer loop.
