Woman suffers from heart condition at Old Town Hot Springs
Wednesday, February 8, 2012
Steamboat Springs A woman thought to be in her early 60s was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center and was being flown to a Denver hospital after suffering from a heart condition Wednesday afternoon in the Old Town Hot Springs pools, Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue Lt. Michael Arce said.
The incident happened at about 4:30 p.m.
Arce said staff members at the pool were performing CPR on the woman when firefighters arrived because she was not breathing and did not have a pulse. Firefighters took over CPR and were able to get back a pulse, and the woman began breathing on her own.
The woman’s name and condition were not available Wednesday evening.
