— The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club postgrad freestyle moguls team began a busy February on Wednesday with a NorAm event in Telluride.

Beginning a schedule that will take skiers from Telluride to Canada and Vermont, Steamboat skiers registered several top finishes Wednesday.

Leading the way was Sophia Schwartz in third place and Lane Stoltzner in fourth on the women’s side. Lindsay Mustard was 14th, and Becky Miller was 18th. Schwartz, who was competing in her first NorAm in three years because of knee injuries, was first going into super finals.

Super finals includes the top four from qualifications.

On the men’s side, Reed Snyderman and Michael DeGrandis tied for fifth after Snyderman was second in qualifications.

Dalton Lee was 33rd.

The event continues Thursday with another women’s and men’s moguls event.
