Midnight Steamboat Springs Police Department officers stopped a car for speeding and arrested a 31-year-old Hayden man on suspicion of driving under the influence.

12:22 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a couple arguing at Seventh and Yampa streets.

9:11 a.m. Officers were called to check on a man who had not shown up for work. The man did not show up for work because he was in jail.

2:33 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to help Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters with a skier who hit a tree and possibly broke his femur on Buffalo Pass.

3:57 p.m. Deputies were called to help West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters with a report of a fire southeast of mile marker 115 on U.S. Highway 40. It was a controlled burn, and the people doing the burn were told they needed a permit.

4:50 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious person at Heavenly View and Steamboat Boulevard. The person was using binoculars to watch moose that were shedding antlers.

4:56 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken person in the 2200 block of Après Ski Way. The person actually was having a medical issue and was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center.

5:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was being harassed on the phone.

7:01 p.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue.

8:20 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a person in the 3000 block of Columbine Drive. The person was fine.

8:33 p.m. Deputies were called to check on a car that had been parked at a rest area near mile marker 102 on U.S. 40. The car was out of gas.

10:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken person on 13th Street. The person was given a ride home.
