Steamboat's Patrick Deneen finishes 4th at World Cup

Patrick Deneen, who trained with the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club briefly, was named to the men’s U.S. Olympic team along with Bradley Wilson.

— Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club member Patrick Deneen finished fourth Thursday evening at a World Cup freestyle moguls event in Deer Valley, Utah. Canadian Mikael Kingsbury kept his stranglehold on the overall standings with the win.

Steamboat's Jeremy Cota, who came into the event second in the world, finished 16th. Back from injury, Steamboat's Ryan Dyer was 19th.

On the women's side, Hannah Kearney won her record-setting 13th straight World Cup event. Steamboat's Brittany Loweree finished 10th while Eliza Outtrim was 16th.

The moguls events continue Saturday with a dual moguls event.
