New terrain
Steamboat Ski Area officials announced they will open Elkhead chairlift Monday, providing access to Rolex, West Side, Lower High Noon and Broadway. Lil’ Rodeo Terrain Park also will open Monday with 10 features.
Snow report
Past 24 hours: 8 inches at mid-mountain and 10 inches at the summit.
Past 48 hours: 13 inches at mid-mountain
Past week: 28 inches of new snow.

Forecast
At the summit: 10 degrees with 15 mph winds
At mid-mountain: 18 degrees with 1 mph winds from the west at 5 a.m.
A winter storm warning is in effect for the region through Wednesday. The warning predicts a steady stream of Pacific moisture and periods of snow in Steamboat Springs.
