Police, fire and ambulance calls
12:54 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person having an unknown medical problem in the 3300 block of Columbine Drive.
2:28 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a man passed out on a bus at the Gondola Transit Center.
3:03 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a person who was trying to break into a woman’s home in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. The woman opened the door and found her drunken neighbor. She directed the man to his residence.
8:10 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury crash at Elk River Road and Lincoln Avenue.
8:39 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a noninjury crash near mile marker 150 on U.S. Highway 40.
9:31 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a pickup parked dangerously by a stop sign at Fish Creek Falls Road and Harwig Circle.
10 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car damaged in the 2200 block of Village Inn Court.
10:25 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bike and snowboard that had been stolen in early December from the 300 block of Third Street. The value of the items was reported as being $2,000.
11:46 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of a possible drunken driver near mile marker 114 on U.S. 40. A 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
12:45 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person having an unknown medical problem in the 400 block of Tamarack Drive.
4:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car damaged in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue.
4:45 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a necklace and diamond earrings taken from a hotel room in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. The value of the items was reported as being $3,500.
5:18 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an animal bite that occurred earlier in the day in the 2500 block of Village Drive. The man said he was walking to work when a pit bull mix that was being walked off leash bit him.
5:45 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a noninjury accident at Routt County Road 14 and Colorado Highway 131.
