— Grease Monkey and Big O Tires on the west side of Steamboat Springs have combined to become Yampa Valley Tire Pros and Express Lube.

Express Lube General Manager Richard Darsow said the Grease Monkey and Big O franchises were owned by Bob and Bert Rundell, and they continue to own Yampa Valley Tire Pros and Express Lube. The same employees still are working at the businesses, as well.

“It’s all the same employees that everyone is used to,” Darsow said.

By going with the Tire Pros franchise, Darsow said the business now has more incentives and savings that can be passed down to customers. Tire Pros franchises are operated throughout the country.

By putting the businesses under one umbrella, Darsow said it will be easier for customers to use and pay for the services.

“It’s been a real smooth transition,” Darsow said.

Big O brand tires no longer will be sold at the business, but the store will honor previously issued warranties.

Darsow said the Express Lube is a certified installer of Valvoline products.
