Twin Enviro Services acquires Old West Sanitation's Moffat County operations

— Old West Sanitation is moving to Steamboat. The company that was based in Craig and provided trash services to Moffat and Routt counties has a new Steamboat Springs address, according to Old West Sanitation owner Benji Berg.

Twin Enviro Services has acquired Old West Sanitation’s Moffat County operations, and Old West will focus on its Routt County customers, Berg said.

Twin Enviro Services President and CEO David Epstein said his company acquired several hundred residential customers from Old West and several hundred commercial customers, as well.

“The service will continue to be the same service,” Epstein said, noting that Twin Enviro has plans to expand its recycling offerings at some point.

“We will be looking to grow regionally,” he said.

Berg said Old West’s Routt County customer base is “quite a bit bigger” than its Moffat County operation. Old West now will be able to “better serve Routt County customers,” Berg said. “We wanted to just focus,” he said. "And not be so spread out.”

He also said the move hopefully should allow Old West to offer more services and noted that single-stream recycling will be coming to customers in January.

Old West Sanitation’s new location is at 2750 Downhill Plaza, and its new phone number is 970-879-7309.
