Mary White wins Steamboat Women’s Golf Association title

Steamboat Springs — Mary White emerged atop the standings Saturday after the two-round Steamboat Women’s Golf Association championship at Steamboat Golf Club.
White finished with a score of 180, earning a four-shot victory against Julie Brusky, second with 184, and Linda Danter, third at 187.
The title was White’s second of the summer as she also prevails in the Senior Ladies Championship earlier this month. There, she finished ahead of Mary Effinger.
With handicaps factored in, Sue Carpenter finished with the top overall score Saturday, carding a two-round total of 132. Robin Crossan was second with 138. Diane VanMatre was first and Lynn Kelley second in the senior championship by that measure.
