Steamboat briefs: Parents of 6th-graders reminded about vaccines

The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association is reminding parents of children entering sixth grade to make sure their children’s Tdap (tetanus) and meningitis vaccinations are up-to-date before the children head back to school in the fall. Make an appointment by calling 970-879-1632 or stop by the office, 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursdays for low-cost immunizations for all ages.

VNA offers free kits for smokers trying to quit

The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association is offering free quit kits for those trying to quit smoking or using smokeless tobacco. Stop by the VNA in Craig, 745 Russell St., or in Steamboat Springs, 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101.
