1:26 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were investigating a 53-year-old woman from Boca Raton, Fla., who was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol at Old Fish Creek Falls Road and South Lincoln Avenue when the officers saw another car crash into a nearby median. Police arrested the 25-year-old Steamboat man who wrecked car on suspicion of careless driving, DUI per se, DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. Officers also arrested the Florida woman on suspicion of DUI and failing to signal.

1:41 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a two men yelling at each other in the 700 block of Yampa Street. Police mediated the argument.

2:37 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken person at Chinook Lane and Walton Creek Road. Police couldn't find anyone.

3:28 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a burglary in the 3300 block of Columbine Drive. A homeowner thought someone tried to enter his or her home by opening a window, but police found no sign of a break-in.

5:10 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious noise in the 2000 block of Walton Creek Road. Police were unable to locate the source of the noise.

8:19 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in the 1700 block of Steamboat Boulevard.

12:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car crash in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue. An elementary school boy was riding his bike on a sidewalk when a driver pulled out of an alleyway and collided with him. The boy was not injured, and no citations were issued.

2:12 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a missing cellphone in first block of Seventh Street.

2:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an assault at Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club. Police said a woman from Steamboat Springs allegedly punched a man from Denver during a fight that started after the woman confronted the man and said she was upset the man's golfing party was “not putting the flags back in the holes properly.” The man who was punched didn't require medical attention, and no charges were pursued as a result of the incident.

5:23 p.m. Officers were called to a report of criminal mischief in the 600 block of Grand Street. A car ran over a real estate sign, and police had no further information about the incident.

6:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in the 2500 block of Val D'Isere Circle.

8:02 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person throwing rocks at cars in the 700 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Police said the driver of one of the cars that was hit stopped to confront the man throwing rocks, and a fight ensued. Police arrested the suspected rock thrower, a 46-year-old man from Craig, on suspicion of third-degree assault and possession of marijuana.
