Steamboat Springs Steamboat Springs residents can expect a dry week. A call for isolated thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon might produce light showers over the Park Range near Steamboat, if any precipitation falls at all, according the the National Weather Service in Grand Junction.
Highs are projected in the 80s throughout the week, but mostly clear skies could be marred by lingering smoke from Western wildfires.
Joe Ramey, a forecaster with the National Weather Service, said a northwest flow is bringing smoke from wildfires as far away as northern California, Nevada and southern Idaho. The haze Steamboat residents are seeing from the smoke could stick around through early next week, Ramey said.
