— A 60-year-old man from Victoria, Australia, was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center with minor injuries Monday night after he crashed his motorcycle on Rabbit Ears Pass.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Wes Kartus said Brian Kerr was driving west on U.S. Highway 40 near mile marker 146 when he entered a turn too quickly and crashed into the guardrail.

Kerr, who was wearing a helmet and protective jacket, was ejected from the bike.

Kartus said Kerr was taken to the hospital with bumps and bruises and was expected to be released Monday night. He was cited for careless driving.
