Police, fire and ambulance calls
1:20 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear in the 100 block of Sixth Street.
1:27 a.m. Officers investigated a parked car at Stehley Park. The people in the car got out and ran away from officers.
3:13 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear getting into trash cans at Hilltop Parkway and Mill Run Court. It was scared away.
7:08 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear that had gotten into unsecured trash cans at Pine and Third streets.
8:25 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who was sick in the 300 block of South Shelton Lane.
9:43 a.m. West Routt firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 600 block of East Jefferson Avenue in Hayden.
11:11 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to investigate smoke seen from Buffalo Pass. It was clouds.
12:16 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a person who lost paperwork and a credit card in the 100 block of Moffat Avenue in Oak Creek.
12:22 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an injured badger in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. It could not be found.
12:32 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a person who was threatened in the 33800 block of Routt County Road 43A.
12:52 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a reckless driver near mile marker 61 on Colorado Highway 131.
2:04 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a car stolen in the 100 block of Clifton Avenue in Yampa.
4:26 p.m. Officer were called to a report of a person who almost got hit by a car in a parking lot in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.
4:59 p.m. A person came to the police department to fill out a harassment report.
5:09 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a $200 bike stolen in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue.
5:20 p.m. Officers were called to a report of two people arguing at Ski Town Fields.
5:22 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person going door-to-door and soliciting cash to support the Public Broadcasting Service.
6:21 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a cyclist who hurt his or her wrist in the 2200 block of Village Inn Court.
6:44 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who received threatening text messages.
7:12 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who passed out in a gazebo in the 1100 block of Hilltop Parkway. The person was contacted and was fine.
7:52 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a person who was burning illegally in Yampa.
7:56 p.m. Yampa Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of a vehicle fire at C.R. 11 and C.R. 17.
8:09 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was walking their dog and was almost hit by a car on Alpenglow Way.
8:59 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a door that was damaged in the 400 block of Eighth Street.
11:48 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear walking down the sidewalk at Eighth Street and Lincoln Avenue. It was chased off.
