Police, fire and ambulance calls
12:50 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers contacted the driver of a suspicious car in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue. The car belonged to construction workers working on the building.
2:31 a.m. Officers contacted a drunken man in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. He was given a ride home.
3:34 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a noise complaint in the 700 block of Yampa Street. A verbal warning was given.
7:33 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a noninjury crash on Routt County Road 44 near Steamboat.
8:06 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet found at a business in the 1800 block of Elk River Plaza. It was returned to its owner.
9:08 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a stolen car in the 2300 block of Lincoln Avenue. A car dealership reported a person rented a $32,000 car more than a month ago and never returned it.
10:27 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bike found at Charlie’s Hole. It was taken to the police station.
11:45 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a Nissan pickup stolen from the 800 block of Weiss Circle.
12:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost his or her cellphone.
12:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury accident in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue.
1:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suicidal person in Steamboat. A drunken man said he was going to hurt himself. Officers arrested the 55-year-old Steamboat man on suspicion of violating a restraining order, which forbid him from drinking alcohol.
1:51 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of vandalism on the playground at Decker Park in Oak Creek.
1:58 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a front door that had been damaged in the 21500 block of Colorado Highway 131.
2:15 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who fell at Bear River Skatepark.
2:54 p.m. Firefighters were called to help a person who fell at a hotel in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue.
3:22 p.m. Firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 500 block of Rollingstone Drive.
4:09 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car alarm going off at Bud Werner Memorial Library.
4:30 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who was missing. She was found.
5:11 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of a wildfire at the shooting range off of C.R. 37 near Hayden. It burned about 20 acres of grass and brush.
5:18 p.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment in Steamboat. A drunken man said someone threatened to kill him. Officers gave him a ride home.
6:41 p.m. Officers were called to a report of three children lighting matches in the 1300 block of Hilltop Parkway.
6:51 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a noninjury crash at C.R. 70 and U.S. Highway 40 near Hayden.
6:54 p.m. West Routt firefighters were called to help a person with a back injury in the 300 block of Shelton Lane.
8:37 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a vehicle fire at a hotel in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue. Staining rags left in a box in a van had ignited. The fire was put out, and the van had some smoke damage.
11:02 p.m. Officers investigated a suspicious car at Howelsen Hill and arrested a 20-year-old Steamboat man on a warrant.
11:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an illegal recreational fire in the 200 block of Eighth Street. A warning was given.
11:38 p.m. A found backpack was turned in at the police station.
