The Record for April 13

2:20 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers pulled over a 25-year-old Steamboat Springs man for running a stop sign at Seventh and Laurel streets. Police arrested the man on suspicion of driving under the influence, open container and disregarding a stop sign.

3:10 a.m. Officers contacted a woman in a bus shelter near the Herbage apartments who gave false information to police regarding her age. The woman, who claimed she was 21, was actually 20, and she was arrested later Friday after a traffic stop on suspicion of minor in possession of alcohol, false reporting and an outstanding warrant. When she was arrested, her friend in the car with her, a 21-year-old Steamboat Springs woman, also was arrested on a warrant.

10:49 a.m. Officers checked on a vehicle that was parked at the Stock Bridge Transit Center with a for sale sign on it. Officers took no action, but it is against the law to park a car with a for sale sign on it in that location in an attempt to display the car.

1:38 p.m. Someone turned in a found wallet to police.

2:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a vehicle parked at a campground with five people in it. Police contacted the people and determined they were just taking pictures.

3:26 p.m. Officers were called to a disturbance at Howelsen Place. Police arrested a 26-year-old man who threatened his ex-girlfriend when she was moving out, as well as the three friends helping her move. He was charged with four counts of harassment.

3:40 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a dog loose at Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue. Officers returned the dog to its owner and issued a ticket.

4:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an assault in a grocery store. A person kicked and punched another person about a civil issue. Police have yet to find the attacker.

4:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a theft of clothing, a wallet, $15, a debit card and a credit card from an unlocked vehicle in the 3100 block of Ingles Lane.

4:39 p.m. Officers assisted a person who wanted to know if a car they had bought in California was stolen or not.

5:17 p.m. Officers were called to a noise complaint about a neighbor playing loud video games in the 1300 block of Sparta Plaza.

5:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a parked car that had started to roll out of its parking space on its own. People nearby stopped the car, and it was later towed.

10:48 p.m. Officers were called to a complaint of a loud party in the 3000 block of Village Drive.

10:54 p.m. Officers pulled over a 30-year-old man for speeding at Lincoln Avenue and Old Fish Creek Falls Road. Officers arrested the man on suspicion of DUI and speeding.
