On the Fritz, a band comprising Steamboat Springs High School students and graduates, has earned a spot in the Denver Battle of the Bands on May 27 at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom.

Steamboat bands make finals in Denver Battle of the Bands

— On the Fritz, a band comprising Steamboat Springs High School students and graduates, earned a trip to the Denver Battle of the Band finals taking place in May.

Katie Ross, Jack Massey, Collin McNellis and Max Shoffner are in the reggae rock band that played in the preliminary round of Battle of the Bands on Jan. 15. Ross said the event went well and the band placed in the top three sending it to the finals May 27 at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom.

Also making the finals is Abandin Pictures, comprising Steamboat Springs graduates Jake Supple, Noah Pfaff and Connor Birch, who now are based in Denver.

Tickets for the event are $8 and available from the band members.
