Steamboat Springs The fifth annual Piknik Theatre Festival will produce Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” as part of this summer’s outdoor theater program. A yet-untitled original musical comedy also will be part of the program.
Auditions for actors are from 4 to 6 p.m. May 6 and 7 at the Depot Art Center. Interested performers can prepare an audition piece or just show up. Those interested in production — costume building and marketing — should contact director Stuart Handloff at email@example.com .
The annual Piknik Theatre Festival is a collaboration among local performers and a group of professional actors who travel to Steamboat each summer from New Zealand.
Colorado Mountain College credit is available for actors and support staff. Opening night of the festival is July 6 at the Yampa River Botanic Park. The free series runs for about a month.
