Hayden School District offers structural engineering course

The Hayden School District is offering a structural engineering course for high school students from Hayden, Steamboat Springs and Oak Creek. This course is directed toward juniors and seniors who are interested in basic civil and structural engineering concepts, terminology and practice. Students will learn basic and advanced welding techniques and practices. No experience is needed.
The free course is offered from 5 to 9 p.m. one Wednesday per month from Oct. 19 to May 9. Dinner will be provided. Transportation will be provided by the Hayden School District and students will be picked up at their high schools. Sign up with your school counselor. Class size is limited.
