“Each weekend, he opens more eyes,” coach John Aragon said. “He’s definitely a (state title) favorite. He’s one of top players in the state in (Class) 4A or 5A.”
The No. 1 doubles team of Gabri Erspamer and Erik Sortland finished second. Colin Green, at No. 2 singles, finished third, while No. 3 singles player Luke Farny finished seventh.
The No. 2 doubles team of Corbin Diehl and Kyle Rogers finished eighth, the No. 3 doubles team of Stefan Sortland and Quinn Cain finished fifth, and the No. 4 doubles team of Ben Wharton and Nick Mathews finished seventh.
The team next plays against Cheyenne Mountain and Mullen on Friday at Mullen.
