Steamboat briefs: Colorado Mountain College offers baby-sitting class

— A baby-sitting class for youths 11 and older is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 10 in Bogue Hall, Room 117, on the Colorado Mountain College’s Alpine Campus. Students will learn about safety and play for infants and toddlers, how to handle emergency and usual situations, diapering, feeding and payment. Registration is required, and the cost is $39. Steamboat Art Museum is seeking volunteers

The Steamboat Art Museum needs volunteers to help in its exhibit galleries and gift shop. Volunteers typically work two hours a week and may be asked to greet visitors, give informal tours, help with clerical work and conduct sales in the museum gift shop. Contact Betsy at 970-870-1755 or sam@steamboatartmuseum.org.

Registration for Steamboat peewee program ongoing

Registration is ongoing for the city of Steamboat Springs Peewee Adventures program for fall. The preschool program is for potty-trained 3- to 5-year-olds and is offered from 9 to 11:30 a.m. every Tuesday that school is not in session. Registration for the spring program from January through April opens Nov. 28. The program costs $15 per day. Food bank in Hayden will distribute food as needed
