4:27 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear in the 2300 block of Ski Trail Lane. The bear was chased away.

8:05 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to check on the welfare of a hunter at Big Red Park who had not checked in with his or her family. The hunter was fine.

8:25 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a lost purse in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

8:47 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a two-car, noninjury accident at U.S. Highway 40 and Hilltop Parkway.

9:34 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of missing cattle in the 24800 block of Routt County Road 56 in Clark. The cows were found.

9:35 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of theft in the 200 block of Huckleberry Lane.

9:43 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a mother and son arguing in the 1100 block of Manitou Avenue. The son left before police arrived. The 51-year-old Steamboat man later was contacted and arrested for being a fugitive of justice.

1:09 p.m. A person asked to speak with an officer about someone possibly defrauding his father.

2:04 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone sleeping in a car in the 1800 block of Ski Time Square Drive.

2:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a restraining order violation in the 3000 block of Lincoln Avenue.

3:15 p.m. Officers were called to a report of drugs in the 300 block of Seventh Street. A citation was given to a juvenile for possession of drug paraphernalia.

3:33 p.m. A person asked to speak with an officer about problems he was having collecting money for a car he had sold.

4:57 p.m. Officers were called to help Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters with a person who passed out at Howelsen Ice Arena.

5:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of four young children playing at Whistler Park with no parents.

6:36 p.m. Officers were called to help find a runaway juvenile in the 4100 block of Lincoln Avenue.

11:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 1800 block of Ski Time Square Drive.
