— The Yampa Valley Sustainability Council, which provides sustainability education and awareness, welcomes Kaela Mllier and Bill Luca-Brown to its board of directors.

Miller brings her experience of marketing to the board from the telecommunications industry as an executive and financial professional. She is excited to help the council lead green initiatives in the community. Luca-Brown, an experienced green builder and efficiency first advocate, also is a wonderful asset to the board.

Yampatika seeks volunteers to join board of directors

Yampatika seeks dynamic, creative individuals to join its board of directors. The group, whose mission is to inspire environmental stewardship through education, is looking for people with a passion for getting youths and adults involved in healthy, outdoor pursuits. Ideal candidates will be passionate about education and the outdoors and committed to collaborative, partnership-driven work. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in fundraising and marketing. The board meets every other month. Integrated Community is in need of volunteers

Integrated Community is in need of volunteers to help children with their homework at the Boys & Girls Club of Steamboat Springs. Spanish speakers are preferred, and a passion for children is a must. VNA offers handbook in English, Spanish editions

Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association has free copies of Healthwise Handbooks available in English and Spanish. The Healthwise Handbook is a 354-page, self-care guide with information about first aid and emergencies, common health problems, living better with a chronic disease and staying healthy. The handbook is available at 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101, in Steamboat Springs or at 745 Russell St. in Craig.

Tread of Pioneers Museum is looking for volunteers

The Tread of Pioneers Museum needs front desk volunteers to work three-hour shifts. Duties include greeting visitors, answering phones, collecting admissions and gift shop sales. Friday and Saturday afternoon shifts especially are needed. The museum also needs help with upcoming special events and is seeking school tour guides.
