Teresa Audesirk: Wear a seat belt

I’m writing to suggest that all Steamboat Pilot & Today articles that describe auto accidents include a prominent statement about whether or not the occupants were wearing seat belts. The article about the accident Saturday in Oak Creek Canyon didn’t say, but I’ll bet the remarkable fact that the victims all walked away from the rollover crash was because they were wearing seat belts. By publicizing this whenever an accident occurs, you could make a difference to readers’ future choices about buckling up — thereby saving a lot of trauma and maybe a life or two. Thanks for considering.
