Steamboat briefs: Hayden senior Aubree Haskins plays in all-state matchup
Tuesday, November 22, 2011
Hayden High School senior Aubree Haskins was nominated for and played in the Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports All-State volleyball game Sunday at Arvada West High School.
The games brought 90 senior girls in all classifications together. Haskins was nominated by coach Holli Palmer.
Haskins, whose GPA is 3.85, has played volleyball all four years of her high school career.
She’s also on track to participate in basketball and track and field all four years.
In her junior year, Haskins won the girls Class 2A shot put event.
In basketball, Haskins should play a big part of Hayden’s season, teaming with Erin Koehler to form one of the better front courts in the league.
