Steamboat briefs: Torian Plum Plaza garage to be closed for 2 days

The underground parking garage at Torian Plum Plaza will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday so that additional snowmelt sections can be installed. Vehicles left in the garage during those times will not be allowed to leave. Torian Plum Plaza guests and employees are encouraged to use the free parking lots behind The Tugboat Grill & Pub as well as the Gondola Square parking garage. BLM Resource Advisory Council will meet June 9

The Bureau of Land Management’s Northwest Colorado Resource Advisory Council will meet from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 9 in Kremmling at the Allington Inn and Suites, 215 W. Central Ave. The meeting is open to the public, with public comment periods scheduled for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Agenda topics include:

■ Upper Colorado River Fee Adjustment discussion

■ Ruby-Horsethief Recreation Area Management Plan

■ 14-day camping rule discussion

■ Northwest Resource Advisory Councils involvement in wild horse management

Newborn Network offering resources for local parents

Newborn Network is a support system dedicated to providing parenting and resource information to all families who live in Routt County and have children from birth to age 3. Newborn Network’s free services include weekly networking and education groups, parenting education home visits, a lending library of parenting topics and a series of gift bags. Association offering $14 meningococcal vaccines

For a limited time, Northwest Colorado Visiting Association is offering the meningococcal vaccine for $14 for adults and $14 or less for children. The vaccine is available at any of the VNA’s drop-in clinics, or call at 970-879-1632 or 970-824-8233 to schedule an appointment.

Steamboat Dance Theatre is offering scholarships

Steamboat Dance Theatre is accepting applications for the Amy Flint Memorial Scholarship for Dance and Technical Production Training through May 31.
