About 130 volunteers have signed up to work on 22 projects in the county for the Day of Caring, United Way Executive Director Kelly Stanford said. She said there still are some volunteer opportunities available for event, now in its 15th year.

The Steamboat Springs School District’s leadership is signed up for next year. The Steamboat Springs School Board, by two 2-1 votes, approved 2011-12 academic year contracts for the district’s administrators and directors during a 45-minute special meeting Monday night.
