Yampa River Core Trail is open at Howelsen Tunnel

Steamboat Springs — The city of Steamboat Springs Parks, Open Space and Recreational Services Department has reopened the Yampa River Core Trail at Howelsen Tunnel after repairing a pump. The U.S. Highway 40 underpass at Walton Creek and the railroad underpass upstream of Fetcher Pond remain closed because of high water.
