1:14 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers contacted a group of young men who lit a fountain firework the roadway at Fourth Street and Lincoln Avenue. Officers issued a citation to one juvenile for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. They released the juveniles to their parents.
3:30 a.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a request for an ambulance in the 2200 block of Val d’ Isere Circle. A 90-year-old woman was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center.
4:02 a.m. Police were called to a report of an assault in the 3000 block of Columbine Drive. Officers couldn’t find a man accused of assaulting three people. The people said they didn’t want to press charges.
5:37 a.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a request for an ambulance in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. A 17-year-old woman who complained of not feeling well was taken to YVMC.
6:24 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 20-year-old Steamboat Springs woman on suspicion of second-degree assault, third-degree assault and harassment after being called to a report of domestic violence.
6:50 a.m. Hayden Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 200 block of West Jefferson Avenue. Officers could not find the person.
8:05 a.m. Police were called to a report of a credit card and other cards found in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.
11:28 a.m. Police were called to a report of theft of two longboard skateboards valued at $200 each from a car in the 700 block of Walton Pond Circle.
12:03 p.m. Deputies and West Routt Fire Protection district emergency responders were called to a report of a structure fire in the 13100 block of U.S. Highway 40. Firefighters contained the small blaze, and it didn’t cause any damage.
12:13 p.m. Police and Routt County Department of Human Services personnel were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 800 block of Dougherty Road. A 17-year-old girl traveling with acquaintances from her home in Oregon reportedly was left in Dinosaur. The Department of Human Services put her on a bus to take her back to Oregon.
12:38 p.m. Police were called to complaint of a dog in the street at Walton Creek Road and Après Ski Way. Animal control officers tried to return the dog, but its owners weren’t home and they took it to the shelter.
2:11 p.m. Police were called to a report of vandalism in the 100 block of 11th Street. A bench was thrown into Soda Creek.
2:42 p.m. Hayden police were called to a report of theft of a desktop computer from an unlocked home in the 100 block of South Third Street. Police are still investigating.
4:55 p.m. Police were called to a report of a two-car noninjury crash in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.
6:14 p.m. Police were called to a report of a theft from a car in the 1500 block of Shadow Run Court. An MP3 player and GPS unit, worth less than $500, and $80 cash reportedly was stolen.
6:16 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a request for an ambulance on 13th Street for a 32-year-old man who suffered a knee injury while skateboarding. He got a ride to the hospital and an ambulance wasn’t needed.
6:46 p.m. Police were called to a report of assault in the 1600 block of Shadow Run Frontage. Two men who are roommates had a dispute about property and money owed for utilities. One roommate was cited for harassment for pushing the other. There were no arrests.
7:42 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a report that two young men were drunk in the bus shelter at Après Ski Way and Alpenglow Way. One was taken to YVMC. Both were issued summons for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
9:52 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were dispatched to a carbon monoxide alarm in the 500 block of Pine Street. Emergency responders determined that a couple of residents were fine.
