Pete Wither: Bomar’s benefit

Three cheers for the fantastic benefit for Gregg “Bomar” Tipton’s family that the Steamboat Ski Patrol put together Feb. 26 at Olympian Hall. As always, they showed their true grit in supporting the ski patrol “family” in a time of great need, just as they help the public on Mount Werner. The success of this venture is a tribute to their organization.

I certainly agree. My wife and I attended. There were something like 600 people there and tremendous support from all over the communities of both Steamboat Springs and Dutch John.
Bomar was a friend, I was sure happy to see this kind of support. The patrollers really did themselves proud with this effort for Bomar and his family!
I will be remembering Bomar when I take the fishing trip I bought at the silent auction. Thanks to Old Moe guide service for donating it!
