Steamboat freestyle moguls team races well in Vermont

— Steamboat Springs freestyle moguls skier Lane Stoltzner secured her first NorAm podium during the weekend in a dual moguls event in Killington, Vt.

Stoltzner just missed out on the top spot, finishing second.

“She had a great weekend,” Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club coach Rob Day said. “It’s not just now, things are starting to come together for her. She’s been moving forward with things in her training. Things are just starting to click.”

In the single moguls, Stolt­zner was fifth, and Brittany Loweree was 14th.

On the men’s side, Reed Snyderman was sixth in single moguls. Michael Degrandis was 12th, and Ryan Dyer was 14th.

In dual moguls, Snyderman was ninth, and Degrandis was 12th.

The event wrapped up the 2011 NorAm Grand Prix. Loweree finished third overall with Stoltzner seventh and Rebecca Miller 18th. Degrandis was fifth in the Grand Prix standings, Snyderman tied for eighth, and Dyer was 20th.
