1:39 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies talked to people in a suspicious car near the Dry Lake Campground and issued a ticket for illegal camping.

1:58 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a dog barking on Robert E. Lee Lane.

5:53 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in the 200 block of Caribou Lane. The bear was gone when officers arrived.

8:29 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of a car swerving near Steamboat II. They warned the driver.

8:34 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of a car that hit a deer near mile marker 99 on U.S. Highway 40.

9:52 a.m. Officers were called to a report of dogs in a car in the 2200 block of Village Inn Court.

9:57 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of two cats loose in the first block of Lincoln Avenue in Yampa.

12:29 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a dog loose near mile marker 5 on Routt County Road 129.

12:47 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of juveniles riding a golf cart across U.S. 40. They warned the juveniles.

2:19 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet lost in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

4:13 p.m. Officers were called to help Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders with a report of a 9-year-old child having difficulty breathing in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue. The child was not taken to the hospital.

5:44 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a neighbor’s car parked illegally in the 700 block of Oak Street.

7:35 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman receiving inappropriate text messages.

8:02 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person driving drunk in the 400 block of Tamarack Drive. A 52-year-old Steamboat woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving without a license.

8:26 p.m. Officers were called to Centennial Hall for a report of people having a “heated debate” about medical marijuana.

9:43 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of cows on the railroad tracks near Hayden. They could not find the cows.

10:22 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a strange smell in the 23800 block of C.R. 16.

Was it "Bewitched," where Mrs. Cravatz was the busybody next door, always seeing funny stuff? Seems we've got a whole bunch of her in town, with not enough of a life and too much of a cell phone.

As I've already stated on that highly offensive goat article, this goat threat is NOT welcome in our community and it will NOT be tolerated. I believe that federal government's stance on these goats is clear enough, and that alone should send waves of tremors through the bones of those that harbor these goats and condone their devilish ways. Let the citizens VOTE on the matter. WHO'S WITH ME?!?!?!
