Steamboat Springs A driver struck a pedestrian Monday afternoon in the City Market parking lot, and both women, who are in their 60s, were taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center.
The driver and the pedestrian, both women in their 60s, were taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center.
Steamboat Springs Police Department Sgt. Rich Brown said the pedestrian suffered internal injuries after being hit by a car and knocked to the ground at about 4:30 p.m. He said the driver didn’t have any injuries but was taken to the hospital because of medical concerns.
Brown said he couldn’t release the names of the women because he provided medical information about them.
Police will continue investigating Tuesday to see what types of charges are appropriate, Brown said. He said alcohol wasn’t a contributing factor in the collision.

It's a good thing the pedestrian wasn't riding a bicycle!
