Steamboat Springs 2:06 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers arrested a 22-year-old Steamboat man on suspicion of driving under the influence, DUI per se and failing to signal after a traffic stop at Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue.
5:47 a.m. Division of Wildlife officers were called to a report of wildlife in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue.
10:17 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 38-year-old Yampa man on suspicion of driving under restriction and failure to stop after a traffic stop at Second and Main streets in Yampa.
11:08 a.m. Police were called to a report of a hit-and-run car crash in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. Officers found the car that hit a parked motorcycle and issued the driver a ticket.
11:17 a.m. Hayden Police Department officers were called to a report of property found in the 200 block of Hawthorne Street.
12:33 p.m. North Routt Fire Protection District emergency responders and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a request for an ambulance near Clark. A boy who hit his head was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center.
12:40 p.m. Police were called to a report of a dog loose in the 500 block of North Park Road. It was gone when officers arrived.
1:03 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of theft of a freestanding basketball goal in the 1800 block of Alexander Way.
1:08 p.m. Police were called to a report of a two-car, noninjury crash at Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue.
1:34 p.m. Deputies, Hayden police and West Routt Fire Protection District emergency responders were called to a report of a one-car, noninjury crash at mile marker 117 on U.S. 40. A 33-year-old man who had a seizure was taken to The Memorial Hospital in Craig.
1:40 p.m. Police were called to a report of illegal dumping or littering in the 600 block of South Lincoln Avenue. A bag of trash fell out of a truck but was cleaned up.
3:26 p.m. Police were called to a report that teens were jumping into the Yampa River from the bridge on Tree Haus Road. No other information was available.
4:03 p.m. Police, deputies, Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue and Routt County Search and Rescue personnel were called to a report of a man who fell into Soda Creek at 12th Street and Lincoln Avenue. The man was pulled from the Yampa River near Sleepy Bear Mobile Home Park about 4:50 p.m. and taken to YVMC. He was pronounced dead at 5:10.
5:34 p.m. Deputies arrested a 22-year-old Steamboat man on suspicion of being a fugitive of justice after serving an arrest warrant in the 2000 block of Shield Drive.
5:42 p.m. Police were called to a complaint about a car at Fish Creek Falls Road and Amethyst Drive. The car was gone when officers arrived.
6 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a request for an ambulance in the 300 block of Parkview Drive. A 65-year-old woman who was found unconscious was taken to YVMC.
6:05 p.m. Hayden officers were called to a report of trespassing in the 100 block of West Jefferson Avenue.
6:06 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a request for an ambulance in the 1300 block of Indian Trails. A 46-year-old man who had been drinking and possibly taking pills was taken to YVMC.
6:08 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a report of an intoxicated man who fell in the alley between Fourth and Fifth streets and Oak Street and Lincoln Avenue. The man declined treatment.
6:34 p.m. Deputies and police were called to a report of a crash between a motorcycle and car in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza. One person was taken to YVMC with minor injuries.
7:01 p.m. DOW officers were called to a report of wildlife in the 900 block of Weiss Drive.
7:11 p.m. Police were called to a report of a drunken driver at Second Street and Lincoln Avenue. Officers couldn’t find the driver.
7:58 p.m. DOW officers were called to a report of a bear in the first block of Anglers Drive.
8:34 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a report of smoke from a potential lightning strike in the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue. They couldn’t find anything.
9:08 p.m. Police were called to a report of a dog loose at Fetcher Park Drive and River Road.
9:14 p.m. Deputies and Yampa Valley Electric Association personnel were called to a report of a down power line in the 31500 block of C.R. 14.
9:20 p.m. Deputies and the West Routt Fire were called to a tree on fire from a lightning strike at mile marker 120 on U.S. Highway 40. Emergency responders extinguished the blaze.
9:29 p.m. Police, Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue and YVEA were called to a report of a down power line and tree limbs in the 600 block of Creel Lane.
9:39 p.m. Police were called to help a person in the first block of East Maple Street. A tent blew away and scratched a car.
9:45 p.m. Police were called to a request for an officer in the 800 block of Yampa Street.
10:25 p.m. Deputies, Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue and West Routt Fire Protection District were called to a report of a fire at mile marker 125 on U.S. 40. It turned out to be a controlled burn in a barrel.
11:03 p.m. Police were called to a noise complaint for people shooting fireworks near Fairview Drive.
11:07 p.m. The Oak Creek Police Department officer and Oak Creek Fire Protection District emergency responders were called to a report of a crash on C.R. 25.
11:21 p.m. Police were called to help a driver in the 1500 block of Shadow Run Frontage.
11:29 p.m. Police were called to help Search and Rescue on County Shop Road.
11:38 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Public Works were called to East Logan Avenue, where a tree had blown into the road.
