Three more incidents with drunks, broken glass at a bus shelter, and a loud party. Daily occurrences in this Record, and nobody complains; it is taken in stride. As if alcohol and the problems caused thereby are just par for a resort town.

Meanwhile you see NO potheads passed out at the bus stops, or by the river, or driving their cars into the river. Yet just a few hotheads have the whole community up in arms over medical marijuana. Hotheads don't like potheads.

I don't like the message THIS sends our youth. Alcohol is to be tolerated; pot is bad. Exactly backwards, if you ask me. Not that I didn't tip a couple last night... moderation is the key. I left 50 behind a while back, and I'm barely halfway there. You can look forward to these keen insights for a good many years to come, if that dang ALCOHOL don't kill me first, one way or the other. I can control me, but I can't control the drunks.

I can't wait until Triple Crown shows up this year. Talk about alcohol related incidents.

I love hearing from such perfect angels. Do you guys think that commenting on every alcohol related arrest or story is going to help you get pot legalized? Take a break from it.

see-

It may help nothing at all. But there's still a point that's being proven with every day that goes by. The point is, those who claim that we've had this rash outbreak of DUID and cannabis related offenses are completely full of crap. The truth gets revealed day by day. That's one reason that we've been commenting on all of the daily alcohol related trouble(s) that our tax dollars get to go attend to. Another reason is to extoll our law enforcement officers to stop letting drunks off with just a slap on the wrist. It's blatantly obvious that alcohol has the propensity to wreak much more havoc and harm on ANY given community than cannabis ever could.

mmj, Please provide the evidence that Cops are slapping the wrists of offenders who get pulled over while impaired. Why put out this continuing nonsense? You only create a wider chasm between you and your imagined opponents. Do you support closing the border? If not why?

Nonsense? What part of the point we're making ("alcohol is way more dangerous than cannabis, but portrayed as infinitely more acceptable than cannabis") isn't making sense to you? Our evidence is the police blotters that we comment on.

And what in the $#!+ does closing the boarder have to do with either issue? Secondly, I'm an American and a veteran. How do you think I'm going to answer, "Do you support closing the border?"
