A taxpayer who receives an unfavorable decision from the County Board of Equalization has the option of appealing that decision to the State Board of Assessment Appeals, the District Court or to an arbitrator. a. an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado;

b. an appraiser who is a member of the institute of real estate appraisers or its equivalent;

c. a former county assessor;

d. a retired judge; or

e. a licensed real estate broker.

Anyone who possesses the above minimum qualifications and is interested in having their name placed on Routt County's list of property tax arbitrators should contact the Routt County Attorney's Office at (970) 870-5304 on or before August 8, 2011.
