12:36 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers sent extra patrol to the 2600 block of Medicine Springs Drive.

2:14 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called a fire alarm in the 44000 block of Diamondback Way. It was a false alarm.

2:35 a.m. Police were called to a report of a suspicious person who rang a doorbell in the 2700 block of Village Drive.

3:55 a.m. Police were called to a panic alarm in the 100 block of 10th Street. Everything was fine.

7:13 a.m. Police were called to Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue to investigate a person of interest in a car break-in case. It was not the person.

8:29 a.m. Police were called to a report of a burglary in the 600 block of Amethyst Drive. A man had things stolen from his house.

8:33 a.m. A person reported losing nine DVDs in the 3400 block of Sunburst Court.

8:41 a.m. Deputies and Yampa Fire District emergency responders were called to a report of a wildland fire in the 2600 block of Copper Spur Road.

9:23 a.m. Police were called to a complaint of a dog loose in the 1100 block of Manitou Avenue.

10:16 a.m. Police investigators were sent to the 700 block of Marketplace Plaza because someone was denied the purchase of a gun because of a background check.

11:18 a.m. Someone found a bike in the 2800 block of Riverside Plaza.

11:53 a.m. Someone turned in a set of keys at the police station.

11:51 a.m. Police were called to a report of a sexual assault. Police said the people involved knew each other, and they are investigating.

12:02 p.m. Police were called to a report of a two-car, noninjury crash in the 600 block of Snapdragon Way. There was no damage to the cars.

12:06 p.m. Police were called to a report of a gas skip of $29 in the 500 block of Marketplace Plaza.

12:17 p.m. Police were called to a report of jewelry stolen from a house in the 1900 block of Bridge Lane.

12:19 p.m. Police were called to a report of a car hitting a gas pump in the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The car and the gas pump were damaged, but there were no injuries.

12:22 p.m. Police were called to a report of two cars parked at the Seventh Street bus stop. The cars were gone when officers arrived.

12:46 p.m. Police were called to a report of a Labrador mix loose in the 2300 block of Lincoln Avenue. It was taken to the Steamboat Springs Animal Shelter.

1:08 p.m. Police were called to a golden retriever loose on Blue Sage Drive. The dog was taken to the shelter.

2:15 p.m. Police were called to a report of harassing text messages in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza.

3:15 p.m. Police were called to a two-car crash in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. Officers issued a ticket.

4:50 p.m. Police were called to a complaint about an animal at Snowbowl Plaza and U.S. Highway 40.

4:54 p.m. Police were called to a two-car, noninjury crash in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. A third car then hit one of the first cars after the initial crash.

5:25 p.m. Police were called to a report of harassment in the 500 block of Ore House Plaza. The call was unfounded.

5:32 p.m. Police were called to a report of an assault in the 1000 block of Village Lane.

5:39 p.m. Police and deputies were called to a report of a car cutting people off at a campground on U.S. 40. The car was stopped, after which the driver backed into the police cruiser, which sustained minor damage.

6:04 p.m. Police were called to a burglary alarm in the 700 block of Critter Court.

7:56 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a report of a missing person in downtown Steamboat. The person was found.

8:42 p.m. Police were called to a complaint about an animal in the 1300 block of Moraine Court.

9:01 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue were called to a fire alarm in the 400 block of Anglers Drive.

11:30 p.m. Police were called to a report of an intoxicated pedestrian on 12th Street. Officers gave the man a ride home.

11:50 p.m. Police were called to a report of a loud party in the 1300 block of Walton Creek Road. Officers warned the people involved.

Really?!? And that's all the information that they put out about it?

Granted, I assume that this person would have ended up in jail, but if they were intoxicated maybe the nice police officers either let them swerve their way home or gave them a ride. After all, we all know how big of a soft spot the police have for the drunks around here. If I was that driver, I would just be thankful that there wasn't any readily visible/smellable cannabis for the officers to discover.
