Soroco girls hoops wins, 58-24, against West Grand

The Soroco High School girls basketball team ran away with a 58-24 win Saturday in West Grand, setting up a huge cross-county game Friday with Hayden.

Soroco, now 6-2, used its defense to help the team to a 15-3 first quarter lead and a 27-9 halftime lead.

Ceanna Rossi led the Rams with 14 points and 14 rebounds while Michaela Meyer added 10 points and seven rebounds.



Soroco now preps for a 5:30 p.m. game Friday at home against Hayden.

Soroco coach David Bruner said his team is looking forward to the matchup.



“The kids are excited about it,” he said. “It worked out like we wanted it to this weekend.”
