1:10 a.m. During a traffic stop at U.S. Highway 40 and Riverside Drive, Steamboat Springs Police Department officers arrested a 30-year-old Steamboat Springs man on suspicion of fugitive of justice, driving under suspension, expired plates, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and defective tail lamp.

1:30 a.m. Police were called to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 2400 block of Pine Grove Road, which led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Steamboat Springs women on suspicion of driving under the influence.

1:56 a.m. Police were called to a report of a fight on Mount Werner Road near Meadows Parking Lot.

2:14 a.m. Police contacted a person at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue.

4:10 a.m. Police arrested a 36-year-old Fort Lupton resident on a warrant for two counts of fugitive of justice and failure to appear.

5:34 a.m. Police, Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a report of a hit-and-run crash at mile marker 144 of U.S. 40. A man who was in a fight with his former girlfriend swerved into an oncoming CDOT plow and then fled the scene. Police stopped the man in Steamboat Springs, and he was transported to Yampa Valley Medical Center for evaluation, where he had to be subdued with a Taser by police after attempting to run away and cut his own throat with scissors.

8:12 a.m. Colorado State Patrol troopers and Yampa Fire District and Oak Creek Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a two-vehicle crash at Rock Pointe Road and Routt County Road 16. One passenger was transported to YVMC as a precaution.

8:18 a.m. Police, Sheriff’s Office deputies, Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders and the Routt County coroner were called to a condo near Steamboat Ski Area for a report of a death. Matthew Schultz, 35, of San Antonio, Texas, was found dead in his bedroom while on vacation with his friends. Coroner Rob Ryg said it appears to be of natural causes, and police are investigating.

8:37 a.m. Deputies were called to a car crash on Routt County Road 14.

9:18 a.m. Deputies were called to a car crash on Routt County Road 129.

9:26 a.m. Police were called to a car crash at Anglers Drive and Lincoln.

9:28 a.m. Police were called to a car crash on Ski Trail Lane.

9:40 a.m. Deputies were called to a car crash on C.R. 129.

9:43 a.m. Deputies were called to a car crash on C.R. 14.

10:24 a.m. Police were called to a car crash on Rollingstone Drive and Pine Grove Road.

11:14 a.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to car crash in the 200 block of Anglers.

1:32 p.m. Police and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a two car crash at Grand Street and Missouri Avenue. A 47-year-old man had to be extricated from his minivan and was transported to YVMC with leg and back pain.

2:22 p.m. Police were called to a report of an intoxicated pedestrian at the base of Steamboat Ski Area near Ski Time Square.

3:01 p.m. Police were called to a drug report in the 2600 block of Medicine Springs Drive. A 35-year-old Shawnee, Kan., man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Schedule 2 drug with intent to distribute.

8:32 p.m. Police were called to a report of a hit and run accident on Lincoln Avenue in downtown Steamboat.

11:20 p.m. Police were called to a noise complaint in the 1500 block of Shadow Run Court. Officers issued a warning.
