Steamboat Springs The Soroco High School girls basketball team ended the regular season Saturday with a 51-39 win against Battle Mountain.
The Rams, 11-5, now turn their attention to the district tournament where they will host Meeker on Tuesday.
A time for the game has not been determined.
Saturday against the Huskies, the Rams started slow in the first quarter before jumping out to a 25-16 lead at half.
The game remained between 10 and 12 points for the remainder.
Brandi Roundtree led the rams with 16 points.
Soroco previously beat Meeker, 61-45, on Feb. 12.
“I think we’re ready,” Soroco coach David Bruner said. “It’s been a lot of years since they’ve had a home district playoff game. We need to come out and play our style and take care of the ball.”
The 11-5 record marks the best record the girls team has had since 2001.
