2011 Sailors Alpine skiing schedule
- Jan. 7: Steamboat earns pair of second-place finishes at giant slalom at Copper
- Jan. 14: Slalom at Beaver Creek
- Jan. 21: Steamboat boys and girls teams first place in Aspen GS
- Jan. 28: Boys 1st, girls 3rd at giant slalom at Loveland
- Feb. 4: Boys, girls sweep at slalom at Winter Park
- Feb. 11: Slalom at Steamboat
- Feb. 24 and 25: State at Aspen
Steamboat Springs — The Steamboat Springs High School Alpine ski team made it a clean sweep Friday at a slalom in Winter Park, with the girls and boys winning the overall titles and the Sailors claiming the top two individual finishes on each side, as well.
The Steamboat boys finished 16 points ahead of second-place Aspen and 24 ahead of third-place Clear Creek. The girls nudged Nederland by seven points and Aspen by 19.
Connor Bernard won his second straight race, finishing ahead of teammate Jeffrey Gay, who was second. Alec Schaffer was fourth, Eric Samuelson was eighth and Peter White was ninth.
On the girls side, Suzanne Lyon finished first, just ahead of teammate Sarah White. Megan Rosa was fourth, Linnea Dixson was fifth, and Martha Anderson was 10th.
