Steamboat Springs Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club snowboarders raked in high finishes Saturday at a USASA half pipe event at Copper Mountain.
Steamboat product Nik Baden helped lead the way, scoring a first-place finish in the men’s open division.
“The precision and execution of Nik’s run is what brought him to the top,” club coach Luke Kessler said in an email.
Steamboat also got a first-place finish from Kirby Kelly in the women’s open division, and Kevin Keough and Heather Bremer also got first-place finishes.
Max Jensen and Kelsey Madro grabbed second-place finishes, and Maverick Shaw and Cody Winters were third.
“All of these athletes brought their ‘A’ game and were ready for whatever was put in front of them,” Kessler said. “They all worked hard to prepare for the weekend and showed up ready to work.”
