The Hayden Elementary School program was well-attended, and all the children sang songs and did a great job.
The Hayden Secondary Schools band program also was well-attended, and they played very well.
The Mission of Grace Church will be having a Christmas Eve service at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Artisans Market will be closing its doors Dec. 31. It will be missed by several of us in the community. The market still will have items on sale until closing day, so be sure to head on down there and check out the lovely jewelry, homemade soaps, cards, knitted and crocheted items, yarn, kids’ clothing and more.
Condolences to the family and friends of Bobby Kresel, who died in Grand Junction on Dec. 10. A funeral was held Friday.

Congratulations to Izabell Sanchez, 7, of Oak Creek, on winning the naming Santa’s horse contest, which was held at the Tracks and Trails Museum. Izabell’s winning choice for the horse’s name was Starlight.
Congratulations also to Ali Geiger and her daughters Morgan and Shelby for winning the Western Quilt that was raffled off by the Tracks and Trails Museum.
A great big thank you to volunteers John Grout, Julie Hoff, Nikki Knoebel and the Historical Society, the Tracks and Trails Museum and the South Routt Economic Development Council, who organized the South Routt holiday festival. Everyone who attended said they had a great time.
