Realtor community holiday dinner is 2 p.m. Dec. 25

The free Realtor Community Christmas Dinner is from 2 to 6 p.m. Dec. 25 at the Steamboat Springs Community Center. The annual event is sponsored by the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors. Call Penny Fletcher at 970-870-8800 with questions or to donate food.

Community Holiday Party is Tuesday at Howelsen

The 34th annual free Community Holiday Party is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Howelsen Hill. The event, sponsored by the city of Steamboat Springs, includes tubing on Howelsen Hill, snow conditions permitting. Attendees may bring their own tubes, but no metal runners or sleds are allowed. There also will be caroling and visits with Santa Claus. Cookies, hot cocoa and apple cider will be served. Call Brooke Lightner at 970-879-4300, ext. 355.

Registration for free senior holiday party ends Thursday

The city of Steamboat Springs hosts a free holiday party for seniors 55 and older from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Steamboat Springs Community Center. The event includes food, entertainment and door prizes. RSVP before Thursday by calling Maria at the Parks, Open Space and Recreational Services Department at 970-879-4300. Free transportation is provided.

Pee Wee Adventures offers skating lessons Thursdays

The city of Steamboat Springs and Howelsen Ice Arena will offer skating lessons as part of the Pee Wee Adventures program on Thursdays. The seven-week program, which runs from Jan. 5 to Feb. 16, costs $140 and includes lessons and skates. The students will start at 9 a.m. at the Igloo at Howelsen and participate in the licensed preschool program before heading to the ice arena for the lesson. Students will return to the Igloo for crafts and story-time and will be ready to be picked up at noon. Call the Parks, Open Space and Recreational Services Department at 970-879-4300 to sign up.
